But it didn&#8217;t stop at memories of the time underground.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two are not only linked by their past as mining engineers, but also by the conviction that technical progress only has a future if it is sustainable. As the former head of safety at Ruhrkohle AG, Dieter Mantwill recognized early on how crucial the choice of lubricants used is for the environment and safety &#8211; and even then he began to establish alternatives to products containing mineral oil.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, Fluid Competence is consistently pursuing this direction: the aim is to free all technical processes &#8211; whether hydraulic or mechanical &#8211; from mineral and bio-oil.
